The Power

Daily Life 24

The Power

Of Love
Luke 10:25-37

BEHOLD I Give unto you POWER, not only over witchcraft, demons, and Satan but also to have the power to love. Luke 10:19-21;

The Spirit of Religiosity
The story of the Good Samaritan is an eye-opener. Many assume “Power” comes from “outside-in.” They believe “Power” is granted to a person by someone else. They see power as a position or title, which comes with authority, control, and a belief in the form of supremacy over others. “And by chance, there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise, a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.”Luke‬ 10:31-32‬ KJV‬‬

The truth is, Real power comes from “inside-out.” Real power is the ability of each individual to cultivate by themselves.

The Power of Choice
Real power increases within a person:

  1. By the choices they make
  2. By the actions they take
  3. By the thoughts they create

In this analogy, the Good Samaritan reveals that “Power” is available to everyone, no matter their position or title.

Our year of Impact reveals that Real power is influence, and it increases as we offer more support to others. Being “Powerful” is more about giving support than getting support. Contrary to what you may have been taught about power, service is the highest form of leadership. Serving others is key to sustainable growth. And it creates the kind of influence that truly powerful people wield—the type that resonates and uplifts.

Real power is the influence

  1. The Power of Influence is to Better Others, to bring about change and transformation in others, which is to love; it increases as we offer more support to others;

    “And he went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.” Luke‬ 10:34‬ KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

    Being powerful is more about giving support than getting support.

    “I have shown you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
    Acts‬ 20:35‬ KJV‬‬

  2. It is to provide service. Service is the highest form of leadership. “But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.” Luke‬ 22:26‬ KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
  3. By Helping others to survive, to live, then you begin to live;

“And he said unto him, Thou, hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.” Luke‬ 10:28‬ KJV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

THE LITMUS Test Of our faith.

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples if ye have love one to another.” John‬ 13:34-35‬ KJV

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Father in the name of Jesus, help us to see and know Power for indeed what it is; remove the veil of religious spirit from our eyes and lives, and destroy the mold selfishness over us;
  2. Father in the name of Jesus, help us to see ministry opportunities entrusted to and upon us to care for those that are ailing, wounded, and are in need; help us with the choices and the decisions we make, which is primarily to serve and help others in need;
  3. Father in the name of Jesus, help us see that serving others, helping victims and their families affected by the COVID-19, and providing for the vulnerable, is the key to all power and Leadership. Help us uplift and show love towards our neighbors, which creates an impact that will bring others to Christ.
  4. Father in the name of Jesus, help us with the spirit of humility, to come down from our high horses and consider the low estate of the poor, weak, frail and vulnerable; we pray that we have a heart of sympathy, empathy, and kindness, just as you have towards us;
