Acts 1:4-11
UNLIMITED Impact
The mandate upon many of our lives is the “Above and Beyond Anointing.” “But ye shall receive power, after that, the Holy Ghost has come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 KJV. The Disciples impact was both national and global. Their territory or Ministry’s landscape and landmark were Jerusalem, all Judaea, Samaria, and unto the earth’s uttermost. Many of us have a citywide ministry, some national and others international, but we don’t know it. And those of us who know it don’t want to embrace it. But today, clarity comes to us.
LIMITING God
The Disciples built their castle in Jerusalem rather than to engage the uttermost part of the earth.” The Church was exploding, “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.” Acts 2:41 KJV. See Acts 4:4; the church grew to five thousand, and they rested on their laurels. “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” Acts 5:42, KJV.
God had to stir up persecution to get the Disciples, and the church reconnected with their assignment and mandate, not by revelation but by default.
“As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word.” Acts 8:3-4 KJV
LIMITED Vision
This year, we destroy all forms of traditions and old ways of thinking in Jesus’s mighty name.
“And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. This was done thrice, and the vessel was received up again into heaven.” Acts 10:13-16 KJV
The mighty hand of God was upon Apostle Peter for great things, but he allowed tradition to obscure his vision. (Mark 7:13). God revealed to him in a dream that it was time to take the Ministry beyond the frontiers of Israel as a nation and to the gentiles. But he refused, and God had to raise another person in the name of Apostle Paul. “But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles.)” Galatians 2:7-8 KJV
IMPACTFUL Life & Ministry
While Apostle Peter published two books (1st & 2nd Peter) in the New Testament, Apostle Paul wrote 14 of the 27 books; Apostle Paul’s ministry covered the Middle East, Asia, and Rome. Acts 20:1-38;
