The Anointing of Destiny
1 John 2:27, New International Version (NIV)
‘27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.’
1.1 God will anoint you based on the calling, assignment and purpose he has placed on your life.
“And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: that there be no wrath any more upon the children of Israel. 6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift for the Lord, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest’s office for everything of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest’s office unto you as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. 8 And the Lord spake unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given thee the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an ordinance forever.” Nu 18:6-8.
1.2The Anointing of God, who is the person of the Holy Spirit, follows only one thing: the destiny in your life. This is what He has been assigned to fulfill. Jn.14:15-26.
a)Take you to heaven and be with the Father.
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”
i)Wage warfare against all the forces of darkness that will stand and oppose God’s plan for your life. Romans 8:33-39; Col.1:13.
ii)Restore you to your former place of glory. 1Jn 1:6-10.
iii)Help you get into your place of rest. He.3:7-14
b)Use you to get others into the Kingdom of Heaven
“7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” See Acts 9:13-16
1.3The Anointing (who is the person of the Holy Spirit) knows exactly what to do to get you to your place of destiny. Ro.8:14; Jn.10:3-5; 1 Sam. 16:12-13; 17:17-27, 32-37, 41-54.
1.4He knows how to instruct and guide. Nu.10:29-36.
1.5He knows how to set apart those He wants to use. Ex.36:1-7.
1.6He does not follow your weakness (he will help you overcome it) but he follows the destiny in your life, as long as the work of sanctification continues in your life. Judges 15:9-20.
